MAGNUM - 2012 Hirsch 'Reserve' Estate Pinot Noir
The 2012 vintage was one of California’s most heralded. It produced some of the most exceptional and cellar-worthy wines we have ever seen at Hirsch Vineyards. The Pinot Noirs are characterized by fruit intensity, serious tannic structure, and complexity. They were very shy in their youth, and are just starting to open up.
The tannins in the 2012 Reserve are just starting to unfurl and the dark fruit is beginning to soften. This wine can be drunk now with great pleasure if you wish to have a good balance of fruit with the evolving tannins. Or it can be aged for another 5 to 7 years, if you desire a softer fruit experience.
