2016 Hirsch "Bohan Dillon" Pinot Noir
The Bohan-Dillon Estate Pinot Noir is produced using the same winemaking methods and with the same attention to detail as our other Hirsch pinots. It is a wine of great quality, purity of fruit, and traditional varietal character.
The 2016 vintage produced a charming, quaffable wine with a juicy cherry-pomegranate fruit expression, bright acidity and modest tannins. It can be drunk now with great pleasure, or cellared for a few years.
The French have a wonderful expression vin de soif , which literally means “a wine of thirst”. In the Bohan-Dillon you will find the ultimate summer red, the Tuesday night porch wine or entertaining anytime – yet made with integrity and 100% Hirsch fruit.
David Hirsch wrote once of the Bohan-Dillon "Bells will ring and the bears will growl “Hallelujah!’ as the elegance and finesse of a real wine from a real place, made by real folks who actually live on site, washes down the throat."
