At Hirsch Vineyards, we strive to produce wines that are not just profoundly representative of the site, but also express the vintage in which the grapes were grown. Perched on the extreme Sonoma Coast less than three miles from the Pacific Ocean, we experience a climate that is highly complex and unpredictable, with wide annual swings in moisture, temperature, storms, and wind. As a result, each year we enter into a fresh relationship with the site and learn anew how to farm for balance and site-specificity. Tasting our wines across multiple vintages gives the attentive drinker the chance to enter into this exploration with us and experience the site through time.
